Dear Wine Lover,
I would like to propose you my personal favourite white wine from Italy, Antinoris Cervaro della Sala 2015. This is not only my personal favourite but also our mostly sold white wine in general. The new excellent vintage 2015 is again on highest quality levels, scored with 95 points by James Suckling. You should really go for it, personally I never get enough of this beautiful wine..
Home to one of the most celebrated Chardonnay-based wines in Italy, Castello della Sala was named after the noble family, who owned the Castello during the 14th century and was purchased by the Antinoris in 1940. Since 1985, its first vintage, it has won numerous awards and has been recognized for its notable quality.
Cervaro is mainly Chardonnay blended with an Umbrian native grape, Grechetto. The results are glorious, this vintage is balanced and fresh with brimstone, stone fruit and creamy peach. With time, it will show more mineral nuances and additional aging sophistication. The aging potential of this celebrated white wine has been proven and demonstrated with tasting after tasting of older back-vintages. Its lovely to be tasted now or you can put it away for up to 10 years and enjoy it at a later stage.
Let me know soonest in case of interest as quantities are extremely limited and as this is usually sold out very quickly, especially if quality is on such high levels as this year:
75.0 cl Cervaro della Sala - Antinori - Castello della Sala - 2015 CHF 43.00 (CHF 46.45 Vat Incl.)
For 36 bottles or more CHF 41.00 (CHF 44.30 Vat Incl.)
James Suckling "95" Points: Intense aromas of crushed lime and lemon as well as mineral and flint follow through to a medium body, ultra-precise acid and fruit balance. Long and linear finish. Just a hint of vanilla and cream. Give it a year or two to develop in the bottle but already a beauty.
